Hear from our faculty
Description of the video:
I'm Angela Richie. I am a clinical associate professor in the department of oral pathology, medicine and radiology. And I'm an oral pathologist here at the school. So my main position here is in teaching. So I teach the dactic portion of clinical oral pathology and that is done in the second year of dental school. I also participate in the faculty practice here at the school. I see clinical patients. My clinical patients uh are mostly uh oral mucosal disorders. Basically any soft tissue in the mouth. I'm the director of the biopsy service here. So we uh have a very active biopsy service. We sign out a little over 2,000 cases a year. And then I participate in a little bit of service and a little bit of research as well. My favorite thing about IUSD is definitely the community here. you know, I've the students, the faculty, the staff, they're all wonderful. They're all part of a community and it really feels like my second home when I come here. My favorite thing about Indianapolis, I love food and so all the great restaurants in Indianapolis. Um, I also have a young daughter and there's so many fun things to do with her. We love going to the children's museum and the zoo. One of my life goals is to be on TV, whether that's like a Real Housewife or on Jeopardy. Um but that is the goal someday. I would say um try and in your application stand out and try and be as unique as possible. Anything that's going to make you stand out whether you know you decide to do a different major other than biology or what in your personal statement, how can you make it stand out? But just really be authentic to yourself and just be as unique as possible.2024 Faculty Compendium
