$2 million grant expands dental care in Indiana’s underserved communities
The Indiana University School of Dentistry has received a $2 million federal grant to expand access to preventive and restorative dental care for children in rural Indiana. The five-year initiative, led by principal investigator Dr. E. Angeles Martinez Mier, will expand access to oral health services for children and connect families with early screenings, preventive services, and ongoing treatment through partnerships among dental professionals, community clinics, and federally qualified health centers helping to prevent pediatric dental emergencies.
