Dr. Lisa A. Lang is the Executive Associate Dean and a tenured Professor of Prosthodontics at the Indiana University School of Dentistry. She received a BS in Dental Hygiene and DDS from the University of Michigan. She completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry program at Columbia University, and a MS and certificate in Prosthodontics from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio (UTHSCSA). She earned her MBA in Health Care Management from Rawls College of Business - Texas Tech University.

She taught all aspects of prosthodontics in the predoctoral and advanced education programs. Her teaching philosophy emphasizes innovative curricular development in prosthodontics with an emphasis on evidence-based dentistry (EBD) and improving student learning, tying nicely to her research focus to study implant biomechanics and clinical outcomes, combining clinical outcomes with EBD she investigates the available evidence to support clinical practice. She published numerous scientific articles and co-edited Dental Clinics of North America edition on Prosthodontics and the world-renown McCracken’s Removable Partial Prosthodontics textbook.

Dr. Lang is a Diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics, a fellow of the American College of Prosthodontics, Past-President of the Academy of Prosthodontics, and a member of ADEA, ADA/ODA, and the American College of Dentists. She serves on the Board of Trustees of the American College of Prosthodontists and as Secretary-Treasurer of the Academy of Prosthodontics Foundation. She is a Fellow of the Big 10 Academic Alliance Leadership Program and Fellow of the Hedwig van Ameringen Executive Leadership in Academic Medicine (ELAM) Program.

Dr. Lang has received several distinguished awards. Most notable, she received the CWRU Mather Spotlight for Excellence in Research, the UTHSCSA Dean’s Distinguished Faculty Award, and was elected to the UTHSC Academy of Master Teachers (Academic Center for Excellence in Teaching) and selected by The OSU faculty to receive the Postle Teaching Award.
